Well yes, some wars are more about resources and wealth and only using religion to wave in front of your face to prompt you to fight, but there are a few (although I'll need to do a bit of research on which exactly and the details) wars that are ~~

i doubt it's really about releigion. it's really about resources and who gets to profit from them. relgion is the smoke and mirrors that they use to motivate you to go kill for them.
