In any case, it would be amazing to see how the world could have come if religion were never around to get in the way of scientific advancement. - by Renza
Dunno about you, but I've met quite a few self righteous f***tard religious nuts out there. May be coincidence, may be the fact that generally speaking education is the enemy of religion. - by Renza
the problem is that people label themselves christian, or skeptic/atheist, and they ignore what each "beleif system" actually teaches. many christians beleive extremely hateful things, and many atheists beleive extremely unscientific things. - by terroraustralis
and if everyone focused on science itself, the pursit of truth based on evidence alone, rather than ignoring it in favour of the discoveries made by scientists, then the problems of the world would very quickly dissapear. - by terroraustralis
case in point, if christians focused on the real teachings of their religion, I.E. love your fellow humans, then the problems of the world would pretty quickly dissapear. - by terroraustralis
the fact that religious beleif is a symptom of that irrationality just reinforces the fact that replacing one dogma with another does not solve the problem. - by terroraustralis
being a self righteous f***tard isnt an atheist tendency, nor is it a religious tendency. it is a human tendency, a tendency fed by irrationality. in other words, humanity sucks because people are stupid. not because of religion or science. - by terroraustralis
